Extreme Cold Weather - Sunday, Feb 17th

Good Morning Sunday Riders!

It is currently a very chilly -18c before the windchill although it is supposed to "warm-up" to a more reasonable -10c by around noon.   Unfortunately I think we need to cancel all classes 9:30am-12:30pm today, please email me to schedule a make-up.  Afternoon riders, I am going to allow you to make your own decision.  Please email me to let me know if you are coming today or would like to schedule a make-up.

Stay warm today!

Spring into Lessons!

It may not look like it after this weekends’ storm, but spring is coming!   Our next session of lesson begins on Feb 24th and runs until April 28th (closed for March break, March 11th-15th).  We are hoping that riders who took last session off are keen to get back in the saddle!  Nikki is working to put together the schedule now, please contact her to book a time.   We are running another GroupOn this spring and want to ensure that we reserve enough spaces for our returning regular clients. Even if you are unable to start right at the beginning of the session, we can accommodate a partial session - just let us know!

We have had a terrific winter here at Raynham so far.  There have only been a few really cold days and almost no snow (until this past weekend!).  Before Christmas we had Olympian and Pan Am Gold Medalist Jessica Phoenix out to do a clinic.  Everyone had a fabulous time and it was very educational.   We had a terrific time with our in house dressage & show jumping clinics as well in January and the level of riding at the show team try-outs this year was very impressive.  Over the break, we also got our lovely new doors installed on the front of the tack-up area – no more sliding door stuck in the snow!

We are excited to announce that we have two new school horses, Apple Pie and Dudley!  They are both terrific additions to our riding school.  Apple Pie is a 13 yr. old, 15.1hh quarter horse that has competed up to Pre-Training.  He is very well schooled and loves to jump!  If you like Rumba or Denver, you may like Apple!   Dudley joined our riding school more recently; he is a 17hh buckskin draft-hackney cross with a rock-star forelock!  He is only 5 years old and is still is a little a green in the steering department but is very level-headed and tries his best.  If you like Snoopy or Cinder, you might like Dudley!

Camp planning is already well underway and this year will be better than ever!  The 2013 summer camp dates and themes are already posted (http://www.raynhamstables.com/day-camp.html) and registration is available online!

We hope to see you back at the barn soon!
