Important Dates

Saturday, May 29th
2nd Annual Volunteer Day!

We had our first volunteer day last year and it was a fun, productive day! We have a ton of projects on the list for this year and would greatly appreciate any help. Dads with power tools, we need you too! If you are available to help, even for a few hours, we would greatly appreciate it! There is a sign-up sheet in the tack up area or send an email to info@raynhamstables.com so we have an idea of numbers. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers and we will have prizes again this year!

Sunday, June 6th
Combined Test!

Schooling shows are a terrific opportunity for riders to test their abilities in a fun, low key atmosphere. Once again, we need volunteers to keep things running smoothly! If your available to help out, there is a sign-up sheet in the tack-up area. This will be our last schooling show of the 2009/2010 series. There will be high point awards again at our banquet in November, so this is your last chance to collect points! The registration form is available on the website now, www.raynhamstables.com//schooling_show.htm.

Tack swap, schooling show, show season & camps!

Our tack swap meet was a huge success! Everyone had a blast and there were tons of great deals to be found. The weather was perfect and we will definitely be running another meet in the future, so don't worry if you missed out!

We had our schooling show on April 17th and despite hail, snow and rain we had a terrific day! Everyone was ready and in the ring on time and our show team riders looked fabulous in their full dress and braided horses and ponies! We had a terrific guest judge, Trish Newton, and it was great to get her feedback. She had great things to say about our program, riders and ponies! Our team is going to have an amazing, fun-filled show season. Photos from the show are available online, www.gravinaphotos.ca. We will be having our next schooling show Sunday, June 6th.

Lindsay, Caryn and Nikki headed down to Maryland to compete at MCTA Downs Horse Trials. It was very, very hot and humid but the horses were terrific! Reba finished 10th in Open Preliminary, Ernie was 9th in Open Novice and Buttercup was 7th in Training Horse. Many thanks to all the staff (Cassie, Leah, Lisa, Hayley, Margaret, Dawn, Erica and Allison plus all the working students!) for keeping everything running smoothly while we were away. It's much easier to focus on competing when you know everything is in such capable hands! Thanks also to Alex for grooming for us in Maryland. Lindsay will be competing at Wits End this weekend, more updates to come!

Camps are filling up fast, all sessions are approximately 75% full. We have tons of exciting new plans for this summer, you don't want to miss out! Register online now at http://www.raynhamstables.com//daycamp.htm.
